Celebrating over 20 years in business, Walsh & Sheehan Ltd is one of the most recognisable names in Mechanical Services within Ireland. We have completed projects alongside both Private Contractors as well as Government bodies on some of Ireland’s most recognisable buildings. Due to the increase demand national Walsh & Sheehan Mechanical Services are now actively recruiting for people to start their Apprenticeship to join our team.
Becoming an Apprentice with Walsh & Sheehan Mechanical Services means you will the opportunity to earn a salary as an employee while gaining valuable knowledge about the Mechanical services sector, as well as gaining the skills that will be valuable to you throughout your career.
Becoming an Apprentice within the Mechanical Services industry takes commitment, as it combines learning in an education and training institution with work-based learning alongside the Walsh & Sheehan Mechanical Services team.
Which mean that during this apprenticeship you will spend 50% of your time with us in the workplace, the remaining 50% in a college setting. This apprenticeship will lead to nationally recognised qualifications.
Benefits
On completion of this four-year apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified plumber, with worldwide recognised QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Plumbing.
This trade offers a varied range of roles which might suit you, such as; Domestic plumbing or maintenance, pipefitting, welding, commercial maintenance, general mechanical services, and renewable energies.
Walsh & Sheehan are ever expanding and will be offering permanent contracts at the end of this apprenticeship, but your options are endless with a lot of Qualified Plumbers choosing to travel world, work as a self-employed plumber in private dwellings, or as a contractor in industrial and commercial buildings.
You will also have the opportunity to use your apprenticeship qualification as a platform to launch into careers such as engineers, managers, owners of businesses, teachers, and instructors.
