Project Progression- Student Accommodation Bandon Road, Cork
The sun has been shining on our Mechanical Services team this week who have been busy making progress on the Bandon Road, Student Accommodation Project in partnership with Clancy.
Bandon Road is a project set in the heart of Cork City. The Bandon Road Project infuses cutting edge construction technology with subtle, yet invigorating, design to ignite the area and organically fuse new and old seamlessly together. This project consists of 77 apartments generously spread across 5 blocks and beautifully supported by state of the art ancillary services, amenities and lush landscaped environs.
The buildings are a gentle mix of 4 to 5 storeys. The facades incorporate a vibrant mix of brick and soft renders to align with the local typology whilst creating an energy which heightens the rejuvenation prospects as it grows. The frame is constructed from Light Gauge Steel which is manufactured and assembled off site and simply delivered and erected on site. Bathroom PODs are also approached in the same manner to support our innovative strategy and stringent environmental policy.
The core focus for everyone within the Walsh & Sheehan team from the Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, Accountants, Administrators, Plumbers, Welders, Pipefitters, Skilled Laborers, Engineers and Apprentices alike is to provide an excellent service to Clancy when completing this project.
Our team always take pride in their work, and we are thrilled to be a part of this project as well as contributing to the redevelopment of Waterford City.
